UTS HIPHOP SOCIETY

UTS Hiphop Society (UTSHHS) is a club designed for students to make friends, share knowledge, enthusiasm and interests of hip hop and its culture.

UTSHHS was founded in 2010 by Chloe Vuong (President 2010 - 2012). Prior to this society, there had been no dance club of any kind on campus at UTS.

UTSHHS' goal is so that the culture of hiphop and its dance styles could be taught and shared amongst the student community. It aims to not only educate members about hiphop and street dance, but also provide a space that exhibits creativity in dance.

UTSHHS also strives to connect the university dance scene and students to the wider Sydney Dance Scene, to build up the community. This is done through primarily battle events & performances.

UTSHHS holds weekly dance classes during the semester at the UTS Ross Milbourne Sports Hall Dance Studio [CB04B.01.020], 745 Harris Street Ultimo NSW 2007.
